About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to spearhead its manufacturing strategy and innovation. The CTO will be a pivotal figure, responsible for overseeing all process development and manufacturing operations, with a strong focus on driving the chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC) strategy. This role demands a leader with a proven track record in manufacturing strategy, process development, and CMC management, particularly across RNA modalities. The successful candidate will be tasked with providing technical briefings to various stakeholders, including board members, investors, and development partners. They must also be adept at establishing quality systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, and capable of building and leading high-performing teams. The ideal CTO for the company will have a strong background in technology development and scale-up, as well as expertise in analytical characterization and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include defining and executing CMC strategies to support IND filings and clinical trials, leading a team to characterize drug substance and product, and developing and implementing quality systems to support development activities. The CTO will also be instrumental in technology evaluation, manufacturing leadership, regulatory strategy, and fostering effective partnerships both internally and externally. The role requires a strategic thinker who can ensure compliant manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement, and maintain readiness for inspections and process validation.
