We serve a population of over 250,000 and feature two hospitals, two urgent cares, an emergent care center, outpatient services and a provider network with 19 regional locations. Summary Under the direction of the Communications and Marketing Manager, the Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing marketing content that effectively tells the story of Carson Tahoe Health, promotes services, enhances its brand image, and engages with its target audience.The Communications Specialist collaborates with the marketing team to serve various stakeholders, including administrators, department heads, physicians, and external partners, to create engaging and impactful marketing materials. Responsibilities Develop compelling and persuasive content for marketing campaigns, websites, blogs, press releases, newsletters, and other communication channels. Adapt writing style to target diverse audiences, maintain brand consistency, and ensure accuracy and clarity. Coordinates, writes, edits and produces written copy for magazines, newsletters, blogs and collateral Create visually appealing and professional marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, digital banners, and advertisements. Develop social media content and strategies to drive engagement, expand the hospital's online presence, and effectively communicate key messages across various platforms. Monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries, and foster a positive online community. Utilizes graphic design software to create attractive & engaging branded collateral Assist with Public Relations and Social Media Displays a thorough understanding of and effectively communicates CTH products, programs and services to the community and local businesses within our region Research and identify resources to develop effective tools to promote strategic communication with target audiences such as consumers, physicians, donors, businesses and employees – including database management. Manages, implements, and oversees all branding policies & best practices; ensuring all internal & external communication pieces are in line with brand standards Oversees system-wide signage is in accordance to brand standards Schedules and conducts hospital tours when requested Oversees system-wide participation in community Health Fairs and outreach opportunities Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and project management abilities. Mission-driven and creative mindset with a passion for values-based communication.
