Job Description
Reports to: Program Coordinator Wage: $12.00-$15/hour Part-time, Non-exempt/Non-benefitted GENERAL PURPOSE The Cross Country Coach/Supervisor serves under the direction of the Program Coordinator and the Recreation Director. Cross Country Coach must have general knowledge of Cross Country running and be able to work with children 7 to 15 years old. The Cross Country program will be held August 24th through October 10th. Meets will be held on Mondays at 5:30 pm at various cities located throughout Utah County. Practices are held on Thursday's from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Weekly hours will vary between 3 to 5 hours per week. Hourly requirements are part time/seasonal and not to exceed 29 hours per week.

FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES - Communicating effectively with participants, parents, and other staff.
- Assisting with a group of program participants.
- Teaching general Cross Country running knowledge.
- Run staff meetings and trainings.
- Attending all assigned practices and meets.
- Supervise and assist with setup/takedown and clean-up of facilities after each clinic day.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Skills in communicating effectively with participants, parents, and other staff.
- Ability to be enthusiastic, patient, and motivated to work with children 7-15 years old.
- Ability to teach basic Cross Country running knowledge.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Cross Country Aides must have general knowledge of Cross Country.
- Prior Cross Country experience is preferred.
CONDITIONS - Moderate physical activity. Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds
- Position requires outdoor work with some exposure to adverse weather conditions, walking, standing, lifting, and other physical activity.
