**User Experience Specialist**

**Position Overview**

The CX Specialist is responsible for designing new and updated user experiences, creating concepts, visual mockups and specifications for the Digi-Key website and applications. This position applies strategic thinking and business goals to designs, focusing on user feedback, and understanding the relation of visual design to the interaction.

**Responsibilities**

Must be able to

* Understands and follows brand standards

* Perform competitive research

* Create wireframes, rapid prototypes, user interfaces, and comp designs

* Design layout and templates for maximum usability and focus on user experience

* Perform usability tests on interface design to insure cross-browser compatibility

* Work with web developers to apply style and user interface design to web applications

* Work closely with product owners and business stake holders to understand requirements and create strategic design recommendations

* Create design solutions that address business, brand and user requirements

* Create mock-ups, wireframes and visualizations as needed to communicate design ideas

* Revise and improve designs based on user feedback, research, technical constraints, and business decisions

* Establish and maintain UI consistency across the Digi-Key website

* Identifies user impacts when a system change or enhancement is proposed

* Perform user and competitive research

* Research interaction design trends and corresponding technology trends

* Ability to create usability test plans and running large and small tests

* Turn usability findings into actionable recommendations

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience**

Minimum/Essential Qualifications:

* High School diploma or equivalent

* Typically, 1-2+ years of experience working in Marketing or in customer|supplier facing related role

* Demonstrated ability to present to a variety of audiences

* Demonstrated capability to plan and organize resources, workload effectively to deliver results

* Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen

* Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body

* Must be able to perform the following behavioral competencies; attention to detail, communication, customer/client focus, ethical conduct, initiative, manages execution, marketing capacity, personal effectiveness/credibility, positive attitude, professionalism, problem solving/analysis, project management, thoroughness, and time management

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent professional experience

* Base understanding of the various functions of Digi-Key and the industry Digi-Key operates in

* Base knowledge of Digi-Key brand and its principles
