Job Description

We are looking for a consultant to join our team for 3-6 months, with potential for full time hire, as the acting Director of eCommerce and Marketing. The ideal candidate is an eCommerce and Digital Marketing expert with experience running multichannel marketing campaigns. She/he will be responsible for all e-commerce and marketing efforts including, but not limited to shopify maintenance, website merchandising, UX, online social community relations and development, paid search, SEO and instore events and promotions. She/he will develop and articulate a strategy for all marketing efforts, execute against that strategy and effectively share program results. This position will report to the CEO and has the flexibility to work remotely.She/he should have a creative and entrepreneurial spirit, excellent business skills, and a sense of humor. It's imperative that she/he is a self-starter, strong communicator, very detail-oriented and have a passion for luxury and the fashion industry.ECOMMERCE
  • Manage our eCommerce team and monitor daily operations, sales performance, site maintenance, analysis and insights
  • Identify, recommend and execute strategies to drive significant increased website traffic, conversion rates, revenue and profitability, leveraging analytics and A/B site and email testing
  • Develop and execute web marketing calendar for sales, site updates, marketing communications, promotions, etc.
  • Manage online product merchandising by developing marketing strategies that maximize UX
  • Identify, recommend and implement new areas of eCommerce opportunities beyond current organizational thinking by researching industry trends
MARKETING
  • Develop and implement brand strategy, ensuring brand consistency, clarity and quality of all marketing communications
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies that support conversions online and in store via social media ad campaigns, PPC, in store events, email marketing, promotions and more.
  • Work closely with instore managers, CEO and online team to develop e-marketing campaigns to drive conversions
  • Identify and propose new opportunities appropriate for the brand
  • Define KPIs, measuring marketing campaign effectiveness and engagement
SOCIAL MEDIA
  • Direct social media content across all company social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Twitter to improve social media community and drive sales
  • Identify and engage appropriate social media influencers and partners
  • Perform continuous analysis of all social content and stories to increase customer engagement and build brand awareness
  • Stay abreast of key industry trends, best practices, and competitive insights and emerging social media trends such as photography, postings, hashtags, etc.
Qualities You Must Have:
  • Bachelors (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or equivalent marketing or related degree preferred
  • 5+ years' in a leadership eCommerce marketing role implementing B2C marketing initiatives. Experience in the fashion or luxury industry preferred.
  • Proven experience developing and managing Google Adword, Instagram and Facebook ad campaigns as well as email marketing and other social platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Pinterest.
  • Direct experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Effective business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.
  • Great understanding of marketing and social landscape, best practices, and metrics.
  • Strong, strategic thinker able to visualize and convey a message into relevant and interesting content for social media platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong experience in MS Office suite, specifically Excel, and GSuite
  • Strong experience with Shopify or similar eCommerce platform
  • Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator a plus
