MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by
an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education
Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of
Education (USDE). Major course work in Industrial Technology,
Management, or a related field preferred. Each year of experience
as described below in excess of the required two years may be
substituted for thirty semester hours from an accredited college
or university on a year-for-year basis.
2. Two years full-time, wage-earning general mechanics experience
involving the repair and maintenance of mechanical and electrical
operated equipment

graduation from a technical school accredited by the CHEA or by the
USDE with a certificate in the field of industrial plant operations
or maintenance and four years full-time, wage-earning general
mechanics experience involving the repair and maintenance of
mechanical and electrical operated equipment.
3. Experience with food packing and processing equipment preferred.
4. Experience with Westinghouse and Square D 460 V or equivalent
systems preferred.
5. Correctional custody or law enforcement experience preferred.
6. Experience in the supervision of employees or offenders preferred.
**The salary for an ERS Retiree (or non-contributing member) will
be $4,726.63.**

**Maintenance Supervisor positions are eligible for a $5,000 Recruiting
Bonus. In order to receive the bonus, the employee must be full-time
and newly hired or scheduled to graduate from the Academy on or after
04/27/18.**
