Job Description
Seeking a Private Chef to work between two close family members. One family lives in Indianapolis, the other resides in nearby Carmel. Duties will be daily meal planning, sourcing of best fresh and seasonal ingredients. Chef will oversee the kitchen, equipment, stocking and clean up of meals.
Ideal candidate will be creative, personable, have a strong culinary background with experience in menu development and also cooking for families with kids of all ages. Priority to candidates with letters of recommendation from employers in a private home setting or track record within a creative culinary environment with changing menus. Able to cook for the families (all ages) and also when they entertain others for parties and summer gatherings.
Requirements: culinary training, 5 years cooking and menu planning experience, excellent communication skills - speaks English fluently and capable writing and computer literacy skills. Clean background and driving history. Non-smoker and able to pass a background and security clearance prior to hire.
Schedule will be 45 hours weekly with ability to travel in summer on some weekends to nearby lake house.
