Job Description

Job Description

Are you a customer-obsessed builder with a passion for helping customers achieve their full potential? Do you have the business savvy, background, and sales skills necessary to help position AWS as the cloud provider of choice for customers? Do you love building new strategic and data-driven businesses? Join the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Elastic Disaster Recovery team as a Business Development Specialist!

This is a pivotal role within the AWS Worldwide Disaster Recovery team, blending strategic vision with hands-on execution and direct relationship management.

As a Worldwide Specialist, you will own the growing adoption, utilization, and revenue for an AWS service(s) worldwide. You will gather customer and industry needs and partner with AWS product teams to innovate, develop, and deliver AWS offerings. WW Specialists are technically savvy resources responsible for identifying opportunities to innovate with customers, influencing the AWS product roadmap, and driving revenue for a specific AWS service(s). As a WW Specialist, you will own, develop, and implement technical go-to-market plans and sales plays for new or existing services, and drive customer and partner engagements by participating in AWS field enablement activities.

Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record and background developing and executing GTM motions that deliver results at scale via sales teams, technical roles, and partners. In addition, they will possess a business and technical background that enables them to drive strategic engagements and build trust at all customer levels: CxO/VP, technical leaders and architects.

An entrepreneurial spirit with a high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity.

Analytical capabilities - understanding problems and finding pragmatic solutions to them quickly

Understanding costs / delivery models, specifically of Cloud management, risk and business continuity
You have designed large scale programs/mechanisms and complex processes that can scale.

You understand how to automate onboarding experiences that guide partners and end-users to platform adoption with minimal “face-to-face” time.

You have proven experience in being able to identify, network and nurture champions and you have helped build and document success stories
We are looking for candidates who enjoy the challenge of wrestling ambiguity. This role offers lots of opportunity to experiment and turn pilots into scaled programs that impact internal teams, customers, and partners globally.
