Georgia-Pacific is currently seeking a **Sr.** **Technical Services Representative** to join our Building Products Technical Services team.
This role is based out of our Decatur Technical Center (just outside Atlanta, GA). The Decatur center primarily focuses on Georgia-Pacific building products R&D efforts and includes an analytical lab with extensive application testing capabilities. **What You Will Do In Your Role**
* Provide customers data-based solutions
* Innovation: This person would be instrumental with innovating the Dens family of products and expanding product offerings into adjacent spaces. Working hand in hand with the marketing, R&D and Sales teams.
* Educate/Train: Increase technical and building science knowledge of the organization and be the voice of GP at various industry association events and committees.
* Experiment: Design and lead projects to develop new uses for GP products.
* Problem Solving: Onsite resource that provides innovative solutions for our customers needs.
* Transform: Implement new services and tools that enhance the customer experience.
* Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to offer new products and solutions for the air and moisture barrier industry
* Serve as a voice for GP at various industry association events and committees (i.e. Air Barrier Association of America, Gypsum Association, etc.).
* Demonstrate proven capability to seek opportunities and capture value
* Possess excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
**The Experience You Will Bring**
**Requirements:**
* Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering, Architecture or Science
* Five (5) or more years experience commercial construction engineering, design, or building science experience
* Experience developing technical literature (i.e., white papers, technical bulletins, etc.)
* Experience using Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)
**What Will Put You Ahead**
* Masters degree
* PE or RA license
* Experience with modeling software such as WUFI
* Experience with sketching design details in CAD/BIM/Revit
