Job Description
Position Summary
The Transportation Manager, Safety and Training Coordinator is responsible for providing prompt, safe, and courteous transportation for House families and will assist with safety and training events.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation Manager
· Drives the shuttle Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
· Available to fill in on other days, as needed.
· Conduct shuttle and van upkeep, such as cleaning the van and shuttle interior and exterior, schedules maintenance for the shuttle and van, and maintains and checks the vehicles fluids on a weekly basis.
· Complying with transportation related policies, as well as safety rules.
· Pickup and deliver donations.
Safety and Training Coordinator
· Leads the setup of team training.
· Includes logistics, refreshments as needed and works with staff for needed coverage (Guest Services Team desk).
Miscellaneous
· Waters all plants (seasonal).
· Conducts soda inventory and ordering, including for special events and groups. Removes cash dollars and coins from the soda machines and gives vending cash to Chief Financial Officer for counting and deposit.
· In charge of recycle tabs, to include coordinate getting them to the recycling company.
· Other job duties as assigned.
Reporting Relationships
· Reports to : Vice President of Operations
· Non-Supervisory role
Position Qualifications
· Required Education and Experience:
o High school diploma or equivalent.
o Previous driver service experience.
o Must be able to pass random drug testing, as outlined in the Vehicle Fleet Policy Agreement.
o Yearly physical is required as outlined in the Vehicle Fleet Policy Agreement.
o Good driving record as reported by the Department of Transportation.
o Valid driver’s license.

o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Flexibility in dealing with changing priorities and demanding workload.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff members.
o Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
o Must be able to maintain courteous disposition toward external and internal customers.
Scheduled Hours
· Monday 8 am – 5 pm
· Tuesday 8 am – 5 pm
· Wednesday 8 am – 5 pm
· Thursday 8 am – 5 pm
Environment and Working Conditions
· Prolonged periods standing and walking.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
